Ground Up bring delicious new comfort food to Rawtenstall.
Friends Zak and Danny have recently introduced their new venture to Rawtenstall market where visitors can’t get enough! After their passion for cooking grew and grew the local lads gave up their full times jobs as tradesmen and followed their heart to the kitchen.
If you haven’t tried their signature sandwich Patty Melt yet then you need to! With its delicious filling of double smashed beef, American cheese, candied onion monterrery jack and truffle mayo it’s hard to resist.
Zak tells me: “Were so proud of Ground Up, we’ve done so much cooking for our friends and family and now it’s time to share our food with our local town. There is no other stall offering what we are so we are really excited to be a bit different.”
Find Ground Up every week Thursday – Sunday on Rawtenstall market, all their food is freshly made and all sandwiches made on sourdough bread.
Other favourites include: The O.G (classic cheese blend) Buffed Up (Crispy chicken thigh, buffalo glaze, monterrey jack, mozzarella and hot honey) The Mafia (garlic butter, crispy chicken thigh, pesto and ranch dressing) Porky Trotter (nine-hour slow cooked pulled pork, American cheese, secret smoky BBQ and ranch dressing. Next choose your side of fries: Plain Fries (with house seasoning), Bacon Mad (crispy skin on fries, bacon dust and bacon mayo) Mayhem fries (crispy skin on fries, ranch sauce and BBQ sauce) Truffle Fries (crispy skin on fries, truffle oil, parmesan and garlic aioli) or Ultimate Fries (crispy skin on fires, 9-hour slow cooked pulled pork, secret BBQ sauce, sriracha glaze and fresh chilli.
Danny says: “The new management at the market are doing a fantastic job and have been incredibly supportive, were really happy to be part of the market team. Weve got big plans for the future, watch this space.”
