Weir’s very own little cafe-bar serving quality food through the day with great coffees, great wines and local beers.
Good, honest, homemade food with a selection of great wines and local beers. That’s what Anna’s is all about and that’s what everyone is talking about. Located in the centre of Weir Village on the foothills of the West Pennines, we welcome you to enjoy a deliciously surprising menu of cafe classics as well as our twist on your favourite choices.
Daughter of an Italian family, my love of cooking has developed from as early as I can remember. I grew up watching my mother and grandmother rattling the pots and pans in the kitchen and got involved as soon as they’d let me. At 14 I became a vegetarian (and at 41 a vegan!) and my love of cooking grew as I tried to look for delicious alternatives to meat.
In the summer of 2010, I launched Field Top Kitchen, a small home bakery in Weir, with a range of different breads and baked goodies. I soon added daily fresh vegetable soups to the weekly menu.
The passion for feeding people has grown and opening Anna’s was the next natural step to continue this love of creating delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. Ominvores need not worry – while there’s loads of vegan and vegetarian options available on our menu, you can choose from a variety of meaty options to satisfy your tingling tastebuds!
And if wines, ales or gins are your thing, pop in to sample our range of drinks. We have hand-selected a great range of wines from around the world available by the bottle or the glass. You can even buy a bottle to enjoy at home! With so many great local micro-breweries now in the Rossendale Valley, we had a tough choice in selecting a great local brew.
